National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic

• Description: Scholarship from 1 to 10 months for a research stay in a Slovak university or research institute (montlhy scholarship: 734 €). In addition, PhD students can be awarded a travel allowance, (travel grant), if they apply for it along with their scholarship application. Online application system is opened at least 6 weeks prior to the application deadline. 
• Compatibility with PhD scholarship: International applicants who are receiving a scholarship in Slovakia in the framework of other scholarship programmes funded from public resources cannot be supported by the National Scholarship Programme, as it would be considered as a double funding. So either the PhD scholarship provided is not from public resources, or while the applicant will be on his/her scholarship stay in Slovakia, will be supported by the NSP only.
